Introduction
The Diocese of Truro has embarked upon a significant programme of change to achieve fruitfulness and sustainability for the Church in Cornwall. This comprises multiple and complex projects across our 12 deaneries and in individual benefices. To help support us we are creating a small team to work with the bishops and other leaders. Key to this is a new role of Director of Change and Renewal who will provide the overall direction and leadership for our projects and programmes, ensuring their successful implementation and effectiveness.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have substantial experience of enabling organisational change through programme management and of embedding these changes firmly in an organisation. A sound manager inspiring trust and confidence, you will also have a proven ability to lead and engage stakeholders from different disciplines and with differing viewpoints. As a practising Christian, you will want, and be able, to serve the church in the Diocese, share our values, and be committed to enabling spiritual and numerical growth.
About us
The role offers the opportunity to effect real and important change for a unique organisation that prides itself on being a supportive employer. At the Diocese of Truro we really value work-life balance and employee wellbeing and are committed to supporting your development. We offer additional benefits such as flexible working, a range of wellbeing activities and the Church of England Pension Scheme with 9-15% employer contributions. More information on this here.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Monday 3 May with interviews being held on 26 May 2022. For a conversation about this role contact Simon Cade, Diocesan Secretary on simon.cade@truro.anglican.org or 01872 360030.
We welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, we would particularly welcome applications from those with a disability, or from a UK minority ethnic background, as these groups are currently under-represented in our staff.
