Overview
The Diocese of Lincoln is committed as part of its Generous Living Strategy to developing a culture of generosity. This aspect of the Strategy is the main focus and responsibility of this new post. It sits alongside other aspects of the Strategy including: growing participation in the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS); implementation of the National Giving Strategy and developing Covenant relationships with parishes.
The Generous Living Advisor will be supported by the Generous Living Lead and the Generous Living Advisor - Giving Practise and Fundraising, which supports parishes in, among other things, the practical aspects of Christian discipleship, especially the use of their time, skills, financial income and environmental stewardship.
This will be primarily delivered through offering clear and consistent communication and messaging around issues of generosity. Areas of focus will be;

The Diocese of Lincoln is the Church of England in Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
The diocese covers 2,673 square miles and has a population of 943,000. There are around 31,000 people on the Church Electoral Rolls. There are more than 220 clergy and lay workers serving 240 benefices with 514 parishes and 630 church buildings.
The diocesan central offices is at Edward King House and The College of St Hugh, Newport in Lincoln. There is a staff team at both sites that work to support the life and ministry of the diocese.
