Overview

Could you be the new Team Vicar for Ryde, Isle of Wight?

Could you become a vital part of the developing ministry team of this new benefice at a unique, pivotal role in its history?

Could you become Team Vicar with responsibility for the inherited liturgical tradition in the parish of Ryde?

Introduction

The five churches in and around the town of Ryde have a vision to come together to revitalise their mission through at least one new family-oriented church plant, and the growth of multiple expressions of worship, in different locations.

As the Team Vicar you would have responsibility for the inherited liturgical tradition in the parish of Ryde, working alongside a Team Vicar responsible for new forms of worship, and under a Team Rector providing spiritual leadership and direction.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be:

  • A passionate leader of liturgy and sacramental worship;
  • A minister with experience in a challenging community;
  • Committed to growing the Church through prayer, worship, discipleship and mission;
  • An engaging preacher with a social conscience;
  • Committed to working collaboratively in ‘generous orthodoxy’ with those of differing traditions.

You’ll be able to work in a lively seaside town, at the gateway to the beautiful Isle of Wight, with the mainland only a 10-minute hovercraft ride away.
