Introduction

North Lambeth Parish is a vibrant and diverse inner-city community in the heart of London. We are an inclusive and family-orientated liberal Anglican congregation. Our ministry offers a variety of forms of worship, from traditional services to innovative eco-focused ministry.

We are on the cusp of implementing a multi-million-pound development of St Anselm’s interior. This is a unique opportunity to lead a thriving Parish into an exciting new phase, supported by engaged Church Wardens and PCC.

We are looking for an experienced, ordained minister who

  • Can lead the Parish, working with established clergy at St Mary’s Eco Church and St Peter’s Vauxhall, and continue our strong ministry across all platforms.
  • Has charisma and the ability to move hearts and minds with their preaching.
  • Is an excellent communicator and a good listener.
  • Will support and encourage our thriving music and children’s groups.
  • Can oversee our development plans, in association with our dedicated team.
  • Is able to connect with people from any background, accommodating different perspectives with maturity and grace.
  • Will respect our traditions, while bringing something new.

Please find the application pack enclosed.

For an informal conversation with the Archdeacon, please contact Ven Simon Gates on 07730 363267 or email simon.gates@southwark.anglican.org

We have a policy in Southwark Diocese that to be appointed to an incumbent status post, a priest must have served a title post in an Anglican church in the British Isles. We aim to be a diverse and truly representative Diocese, and particularly welcome applications from women and people of UKME heritage.
