Introduction

The Mortlake and East Sheen Team is in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames; it is a single parish with three churches, St Mary’s Mortlake, Christ Church East Sheen and All Saints East Sheen.

The Team Rector will:

  • lead a team of enthusiastic clergy of two Team Vicars and lay people working collaboratively to help develop vision and strategy across the Parish
  • have responsibility for St Mary the Virgin, Mortlake, leading the development of its worship, life and outreach

We are seeking a priest who: 

  • is a dynamic and capable spiritual leader whose ability to lead others is underpinned by their Christian faith
  • an engaging teacher and preacher who will embrace the different traditions and styles of worship in the three churches of the parish
  • is comfortable and skilled in engaging with community groups, schools and youth organisations, recognising that Mortlake is a growing neighbourhood
  • can communicate with all ages and is empathetic and open-minded
  • will lead and grow a community where the presence of God is encountered by all
