“Heavenly Father, we embrace Your call for us to make disciples, to be witnesses,
to grow leaders and to inspire children and young people. Give us eyes to see Your vision, ears to hear the prompting of Your Spirit and courage to follow in the footsteps of your Son, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen”

We are looking for a priest who will split their time between being Rector of The Hodder Valley and a new and exciting role within the Diocese of Rural Renewal Officer.  The post of Rector will be (0.5 FTE) spending 3 ½ day in the parish and the Rural Renewal Officer post will be 18 hours per week usually worked over 2 ½ days.

As Rector you will live in the four-bedroom Rectory in the beautiful village of Slaidburn which is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Forest of Bowland, the newly formed and distinctively rural single Parish of the Hodder Valley covers one of the most unspoilt parts of Lancashire.  The parishes are “Lancashire Low” in tradition and the Patrons are Church Society Trust and Bishop of Blackburn.  Services are taken mainly from Common Worship.
