Introduction

Interim Priest-in-Charge: Coxfords and Toftrees:

The benefice of Coxford and Toftrees seeks an enthusiastic priest to serve the core pastoral and spiritual needs of the parishes.

We seek a priest who enjoys their calling and will share that enthusiasm with us, so that together we can all grow closer to our God.

The benefice is located in a beautiful part of rural Norfolk, 5 miles west of Fakenham,  25 miles from the city of Norwich and 10 miles from the sought after North Norfolk coast.
There is a resident combined population of 3,330 across all the parishes, and within these small communities there is an opportunity to know and be known, and for lasting and meaningful pastoral care and outreach.

This is an interim post as together we discern whether the needs of the parishes are best met by having its own incumbent or by some pastoral reorganisation. The post is initially for 3 years, with the possibility of renewal.

The Rectory in West Raynham offers spacious accommodation with 4 bedrooms in its own private plot.

We seek a Priest-in-Charge who will
  • Lead the benefice spiritually and pastorally, helping us towards a better understanding of Christ’s teaching
  • Help us bear witness in our communities to what being a Christian means in modern society
  • Recognise and enjoy the great importance of pastoral care
  • Take an active role in our local Church of England primary school at East Rudham.
  • Recognise the importance of the traditional services and Festivals of the church year, whilst also recognising variety in liturgy
  • Want to rise to the challenge of rejuvenating the parish of East and West Rudham, and to find new ways of spreading God’s word in the newly emerging communities at the Kiptons and the Orchards.
