Introduction

Priest in Charge for the Benefice of Speldhurst with Groombridge & Ashurst (0.7 FTE) and the Benefice of Langton Green (0.3 FTE).  This is a full time appointment. 

About our Location

Speldhurst, Groombridge, Ashurst and Langton Green, situated in the beautiful High Weald,  are charming and sought after villages nestled in the beautiful countryside near Royal Tunbridge Wells, all within a 3 mile radius of each other, each with their own distinctive character and amenities.   The villages are perfectly positioned to enjoy rural tranquility while having easy access to the amenities of Tunbridge Wells, with good train services to London and the south coast.

The Rectory is a splendid detached 6-bedroom property on a quiet central lane in the village of Speldhurst, it has a large garden and plenty of parking.

We are looking to share a Priest in Charge who:
 
  • is a missional leader prepared to work across two (currently separate) Benefices.
  • has experience of managing and leading effective change
  • is a confident and prayerful priest, comfortable across the breadth of Anglican tradition
  • will be a visible presence in our communities 
  • will strengthen links between our churches, within our communities, and our village schools
  • will grow, develop and lead a pattern of lay leadership
  • has a rich and rooted spiritual life
