Position Description
Seeking a Team Vicar to work alongside the Team Rector for the Kent Downs and Malling Team. This is a full time appointment.
About our Benefice
We are a diverse group of seven communities including both established and new housing developments, an historic market town and five rural communities. As a Benefice we have made a positive start to exploring a new future by encouraging and supporting each other, growing together as a team, committed to working together to serve a diverse and rapidly changing context in God's name.
The Vicarage
The five bedroom West Malling Vicarage, built in 1965, is set back off the main road, and looks out onto the church. The property has a garage and large rear garden.

- develop and strengthen the spirituality of our congregations and be open to the guidance and work of the Holy Spirit
- work with the strengths and weaknesses of the individual churches whilst honouring their distinctive identities
- help develop, encourage and shape an evolving team
- develop the emerging strategic priorities across the Benefice
- love and care using well developed pastoral skills
- be imaginative and creative in mission and community engagement
- lead and play a part in community life with a strong understanding of rural ministry
- thrive in, and manage complexity, and be prepared to step back and enable others
