Introduction

To post holder will assist The Racial Justice Officer to deliver the outcomes of the Liverpool Diocese Racial Justice Strategy and offer technical support to the Director of Social Justice. We are looking for a Project Development Officer who has a heart for social justice and wants to equip and enable flourishing networking practices, with a particular focus on racial justice. 
This person will provide technical support for the team and facilitate opportunities and events for clergy, lay leaders and parishioners to engage in racial justice and social justice initiatives within their parishes and across the Diocese and Cathedral. As well delivering events, this role involves supporting parishes to build strong relationships with their local communities. This role will include hosting at events and occasional presenting in both plenary and small group contexts. 
This person will be well organised and efficient, and have good presentation and IT skills. They will utilise research and data analysis skills to equip colleagues and deepen knowledge within the team. They will be a self-starter with a flare for communicating ideas and a sharing good practice. The post holder will contribute to a small team of highly skilled agile social justice practitioners under the oversight of the Director of Social Justice. They will be a collaborative colleague who can support the social justice work of the Diocese. This is an office-based role, there will be the need for some flexible working practice including some evenings and weekends plus travelling.
