We’re seeking a Creative Marketing Strategist to play a crucial role in developing and driving our digital marketing and communications strategy, fostering impactful engagement with audiences and maximising the potential of our creative resources. Role Summary:
The Creative Marketing Strategist will lead the implementation and optimisation of Seen & Unseen’s digital marketing and communications strategy, driving our social media paid and organic efforts, managing agency relationships, and collaborating with internal teams. This role will balance creative vision with data-driven insights, ensuring that content is aligned with strategic objectives and effectively reaches our target audience.
A summary of key responsibilities includes:
- Project Management: Lead the implementation of Seen & Unseen’s digital marketing strategy in collaboration with our marketing agency and senior team.
- Strategic Marketing: Advise on channels, content creation, and social media strategies to achieve Seen & Unseen’s marketing objectives.
- Agency Management: Manage the relationship with our marketing agency, providing strategic briefs to ensure high-quality output.
- Performance & KPIs: Set and track campaign metrics, analyse performance, and use data insights to deepen audience understanding and enhance future strategies.
- Creative Content: Develop creative concepts and produce engaging digital content for social media as and when required.
Person specification:
- Creative Vision: Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to balance big-picture planning and detail-oriented execution.
- Proactive Collaboration: Self-starter with strong project management skills and a collaborative approach.
- Marketing Expertise: Solid understanding of marketing best practices, trends, and effective audience engagement strategies. Experienced in managing paid ad campaigns and optimising budgets to meet objectives.
- Content Creation: Proven ability to produce engaging videos and compelling copy, with a hands-on approach to content delivery.
- Data Driven: Proficient in interpreting data and making strategic recommendations to enhance campaigns and content.
- Communication: Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, content strategy and creation, and project management.
- Strong understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics. Meta Business Suite) and experience in data-driven marketing.
Desirable
- Experience working in media publishing, e.g. opinion or magazine sites is desirable.
- Experience working in or with marketing agencies is desirable.
- Subject matter interest in cultural commentary, theology, philosophy and current affairs.
Additional information
This role is part time (3 days a week) for a fixed term period of 6 months. The full-time equivalent salary for this role is £38,000–£42,000, which is pro-rated to £22,800–£25,200 based on the part-time hours of 3 days per week (0.6 FTE).
