Introduction

The welcoming and committed congregation of Horsmonden seek a House for Duty Priest to live amongst the community and join the vibrant and eager congregation.

About where we are:

Horsmonden is a delightful and active village in the beautiful and peaceful Kent countryside with neighbouring villages of Lamberhurst, Matfield and Brenchley, Nearby Tonbridge has good train access to London and the coast.

The village is on the edge of an area of outstanding natural beauty with a village shop and other amenities, including its own GP surgery.

About St Margaret's Church:
The 14th Century Church is Grade 1 listed with recent new kitchen and toilet facilities. Worship is varied and inclusive with lay participation encouraged.   The church hosts a monthly Woodland Church, All Age Worship  and a growing Toddler Group.

We offer:
  • a vibrant, warm congregation eager to grow and develop
  • a lively and expanding village community welcoming of church input
  • a stunning 14th century parish church with brand new amenities
  • the opportunities to work closely with neighbouring parishes
  • a 4 bedroom, 1970s Rectory right in the village with a Church Hall.
  • excellent Admin support, PCC Secretary and retired clergy with PTO

We are praying for a House for Duty Priest who will:
  • provide leadership and empower lay members
  • encourage us to develop our spiritual gifts and share our faith
  • walk with us to grow our church and strengthen our community links
  • enjoy ministering to our local school and community institutions
  • delight in leading and preaching from the Bible
If this is you we would LOVE to meet you.
