Introduction
Incumbent of Almondbury & Farnley Tyas
INTRODUCTION
Our vision as the Diocese is about confident clergy equipping confident Christians to live and tell the good news of Jesus Christ. For all our appointments we are seeking clergy who have a joyful and confident faith which has inspired a track record of church growth.
The parish of Almondbury and Farnley Tyas lies just south of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, and comprises urban-edge and rural communities, on the higher ground bordering the Holme Valley.
This is a well-established single parish including three churches; Almondbury All Hallows, St Michael & St Helen, and St Lucius, Farnley Tyas. There is a capable and committed PCC and a commitment to being the church in and for the community.
The PCC look forward to welcoming a new incumbent with the wisdom, experience and maturity to bring a vision for the parish and each of its three churches, to engage in developing the life of the congregation, to be proactive and visible in the community, and to offer a nurturing and pastoral approach as part of a shared commitment to the ministry and mission of God’s Church here.
Informal conversation about the post can be arranged with the Archdeacon, Ven Bill Braviner. To arrange this, please email archdeacon.halifax@leeds.anglican.org
