Introduction
This role can be combined with the role of Associate Vicar of Holy Trinity Bingley with St Wilfrid Gilstead and St Michael's Cottingley to create a full time appointment.
The Bishop of Leeds, together with the University of Bradford, wishes to appoint an ordained Anglican Chaplain, who will also be the Chaplaincy Coordinator for the inter-faith chaplaincy team.
We seek someone who:
- Loves forming good pastoral and working relationships with a wide range of people.
- Is excited about working in an environment with people of many different faiths and denominations.
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a wider team as well as on their own.
- Has experience of chaplaincy work.
- Has a good understanding of the Higher Education sector from both a student and staff perspective.
We can offer:
- Working with an inter-disciplinary department alongside Counselling, Disability, Mental Health and Student Life teams.
- Supportive relationships with the University of Bradford and local churches, including desk space within a shared space when on campus and a valued position within the Student Life & Wellbeing department (including attendance at manager’s meetings).
- a half-stipend and a contribution towards housing costs.
