Introduction

RECTOR FOR THE BENEFICE OF LOWER TEESDALE

The Benefice of Lower Teesdale in south-west of County Durham (from the foot-hills of historic Barnard Castle and the River Tees, to the edges of the Pennine Hills), are seeking a visionary and collaborative Rector.  They are praying for someone with vision and creative flair who has a desire to make Christ’s love known in the community and is keen to work with schools and young people.  In particular someone who, working with the gifts and experience of lay people, will: 

• Listen to parishioners in order to understand more about the needs of the local area
• Work with PCCs to craft vision and deliver mission priorities
• Explore innovative ways of working together
• Engage with young people and our primary schools
• Help the churches re-energise and grow
• Enable the Environmental Mission of the Church
